For more than two decades, Christina has had an interior design firm starting in NYC and now in Fairfield County, CT. Over that period, she started the business Sullivan Interiors, added a partner, formed Tocar, grew the business, sold the business and then started another firm Roughan Interiors. Prior to that she held senior level design positions at Ralph Lauren and Tommy Hilfiger enabling her to hone her design and management skills.
As an award-winning designer, Christina has been recognized by several different organizations including: Fashion Group International 2006 Finalist for the Rising Star Award, A-list awards winner and finalist 2015, 2017, and 2018 nominee. Her work has been featured in publications such as, Interior Design Magazine, Elle Décor, Traditional Home, House Beautiful, CT Cottages & Gardens, Athome Magazine, Greenwich Magazine, New England Home, the Boston Herald, CT Post and New York Magazine and was recognized by New York Spaces as one of the top 50 designers in the New York region.
Active in the design community, Roughan has been a judge for the past four years for the Detroit Home Magazine awards as well as contributed her time to designing a space for the Southport Congregational Church’s annual Rooms With A View Showhouse. She also has been an active member of the Weston Historical society. Most recently she was selected to be a member of The Decorators Club where she is on the program committee. In addition, she writes a monthly column interviewing other design professionals for Klaff’s.
